KERAS AND MANIS, The Way Of Bali was screened, September 3rd at NewFilmmakers' "Spring Fest" in The Anthology Archives Cinema of Manhattan.
As it was the first International screening of the Documentary, both the Director, Bill Maranda, and Associate Producer, Susan Dalton, hopped on a plane to meet Editor, Trish Dalton, and attend the screening.
Finding themselves at the corner of 2nd Avenue and 2nd Street, they were greeted by shy Cinema doors from under a dimly lit alley way. With open arms the cinema welcomed it's visitors through an array of hand written signs inviting guests to purchase their festival tickets and feast their eyes on an evening of independent works in Dance film.
While the Reception was being arranged and ready for a post show

celebration, Bill scanned the theatre to ensure that the sound system would do justice to the music he had captured in his quick paced, high energy days of shooting in Bali. And it did. Very pleased with it's presentation, the crew welcomed in an intimate crowd of friends, co workers and dance enthusiasts.
With an evening of shorts following the KERAS AND MANIS feature, the Reception was abundant and full of great energy and conversations passed through film maker to film maker. KERAS AND MANIS received such great reviews from strangers and friends alike that even the Projectionist of the cinema, who screens film after film, said that this one really caught her eye and that she would love to own a copy :)

Walking through the buzzing streets of New York's nightlife, the makers of KERAS AND MANIS, The Way Of Bali were pleased beyond their expectations with what had become of their documentary and what was in store for it's future.... Thank You to it's supporters and cheers to it's ongoing success!!
